On Monday, Namrata announces that her boyfriend’s roommates are dropping out of school because their Kickstarter got funded. Arthur gives an update on Ben to his coworkers, and he thinks about how easy it is to imagine a future with him.
On Tuesday, Arthur texts the group chat with Jessie and Ethan to discuss what they initially called him about. They don’t respond.
Wednesday brings a date with Ben, who arrives late. They arrive at a Broadway theatre where Hamilton is playing. A lottery for New York Public School students was announced, and Ben entered. He goes to the will-call window to see if he won. He did, but the woman reveals that he had to pick them up by six. Arthur is upset and reminds Ben that he’s been late for every date. It makes it seem like Ben doesn’t care.
Ben is disappointed in himself and tries to make it up to Arthur by publicly singing the first song of Hamilton to him. Arthur then sings a song from Dear Evan Hansen. They take turns singing Broadway songs to each another, and when they’re done, Ben apologizes. Arthur replies that this was better than Hamilton.
